Terms and Conditions
The rules and practical limits that apply when you use Speaker Cleaner.
1. Agreement to these Terms
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) are between you and Vasilkoff CY Ltd (“we,” “us,” or “our”) and apply to the Speaker Cleaner iPhone app (the “App”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Our Privacy Policy explains how data and device permissions are handled.
2. What the App does
The App is a general-purpose sound utility. It can play user-started tones and channel-specific audio, show timing and playback status, calculate optional microphone-based digital level readings, and create an optional photo with a reading overlay. The current App has no user account, subscription, purchase, or advertising feature.
Core tones are generated locally. Some supporting features use Firebase over the internet for analytics, crash diagnostics, notification delivery, and limited informational configuration.
3. Important product limitations
Speaker and water use: The App’s water-ejection or speaker-cleaning effectiveness has not been scientifically or physically verified for your device. A completed session means only that timed audio playback ended; it does not prove that water, dust, or debris was removed or that a speaker was repaired.
- The App is not a repair service and does not diagnose speaker, microphone, liquid, or hardware condition.
- Displayed sound levels are uncalibrated digital full-scale readings (dBFS). They are not calibrated sound-pressure levels (dB SPL), hearing-safety measurements, environmental certifications, or medical readings.
- Results can vary with the iPhone model, microphone, case, orientation, audio route, environment, volume, and operating-system behavior.
- Decorative waves, progress, statistics, and snapshot overlays do not represent verified cleaning progress or a hardware verdict.
- The App does not repel mosquitoes or other pests and makes no claim that it does.
Do not rely on the App where an accurate acoustic measurement, hearing assessment, medical decision, safety decision, liquid-damage assessment, or professional hardware diagnosis is needed.
4. Safe use
- Choose a comfortable system volume before playback. Do not place the speaker next to your ear or anyone else’s ear.
- Start audio only when you are ready, keep the Stop control within reach, and stop immediately if the sound is uncomfortable, distorted, or concerning.
- Do not use the App while doing something that requires your full attention, or where audible tones could create a hazard or disturb others.
- Follow Apple’s care, liquid-exposure, drying, charging, and repair guidance for your specific device. Do not use heat, compressed air, objects, or other methods Apple advises against.
- If you suspect damage, persistent liquid, hearing symptoms, or another safety issue, stop using the App and seek the appropriate qualified help.
The App does not automatically change your device volume and does not automatically begin playback on launch or resume.
5. Permissions, photos, and online services
You control whether the App may send notifications or access the microphone, camera, and Photos add-only capability. Some features will be unavailable if the corresponding permission is denied or revoked; unrelated local playback features should remain available.
A snapshot is created only after you choose to use the camera and capture a photo. You are responsible for the content you photograph and for having permission to capture, save, or share it. When you use the iOS share sheet, the third-party destination you select is responsible for its own service.
Firebase-dependent features may be delayed, unavailable, or behave differently without a network connection. Remote Config is limited to an optional informational message and does not control audio parameters.
6. App license and Apple terms
If you obtain the App through Apple’s App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA) governs the App Store license. These Terms complement that Standard EULA and address the App-specific matters described here; they do not replace Apple’s required license terms.
Subject to these Terms, the Standard EULA, and applicable law, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on Apple-branded devices you own or control as permitted by Apple’s Usage Rules. We and our licensors retain all rights not expressly granted.
7. Acceptable use
You may not misuse the App, interfere with its operation or security, use it to violate another person’s rights or applicable law, or redistribute, sublicense, reverse engineer, or modify it except where such a restriction is prohibited by applicable law or permitted by applicable open-source licenses.
8. Changes and availability
We may correct, update, change, suspend, or discontinue features. Device compatibility, iOS behavior, Firebase services, notification delivery, and App Store availability may change. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability.
If we materially change these Terms, we will post the updated version and revise the effective or last-updated date. Where applicable law requires additional notice or consent, we will provide it.
9. Warranty disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, effectiveness, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, or freedom from defects. We do not warrant that tones will eject water, clean or repair a speaker, improve audio quality, or produce calibrated measurements.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from use of or inability to use the App. We do not exclude or limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability or remedies protected by mandatory consumer law.
10. Mandatory consumer rights and disputes
Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies you have under mandatory consumer-protection or other applicable law. If a disclaimer or limitation is not enforceable where you live, it applies only to the fullest extent permitted there.
These Terms do not select a governing law, exclusive court, or mandatory arbitration forum. Applicable law determines the rules and forum for a dispute. Apple’s Standard EULA contains separate provisions governing that license.
